Entrance requirements: This program
requires a 12th-grade level of reading and
candidates must meet at least one of the
following requirements:
Having a high
school diploma or GED equivalent
This curriculum is designed for Allied
Health students to communicate on a
professional level in an environment with
customers who speak Spanish as their first
language. The student will learn basic
terminology, in the medical field, basic
pronunciation, essentials of grammar, basic
vocabulary, basic reading and writing. The
student will also learn basic information
about the patients, admissions, health care
services, and patient discharge. After the
student satisfactorily complete the course,
the student will effectively communicate
with customers, answer basic questions and
input data in the system.
